Meanwhile, Yuuri is fighting her first battle, where he faces a formidable opponent. We will get to know about her powers and find out if she is strong enough to survive till the end.

Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

Episode 1 Recap         

Episode 1 takes us to daily the daily life of high school student Akira Shiroyanaga, who has reached a mental state where real life struggles no longer intimidates him.

The only thing that excites him and gives his boring life meaning is games, and he invests all his time in them. He is neither close to his family and nor does he have friends, and everyone considers him a weirdo.

One day while he was coming back from his school, a mummified monster shows up and tries to kill him. He somehow escapes and finds a way to kill it with his strategic thinking and presence of mind.

He considered this scenario as a level of a game and cleared it systematically. However, his victory was short-lived since a cat girl arrives before her the very next moment who punches a hole in his chest.

Akira wakes up in a different world, where he is surrounded by many others who are handcuffed just like him. Mion (the cat-girl) reveals that all of them are dead in real life, and the only way to survive is by winning this battle game.

Many try to revolt against this insane idea, but everyone calms down when Mion kills one right before their eye. She further explains that each participant is given a unique ability that suits their personality, and the one to make the most of his/her power will win.

Akira finds out that his ability to make any illusion come true simply by making it believable to his opponent. For example, if his opponent believes that his ability is fire-breathing, it will eventually come true.

Winning his first one-on-one battle was no big deal for him. But how long can he continue with this complex ability? We have to wait for the upcoming episodes to find that out.
