‘Bastard!!’ anime’s remake was a delight for everyone who enjoys a good dark fantasy with a villain-like lead. It was a surprise how good the show was, considering that it came out on Netflix, and we all know how hopeless they are most of the time.
Due to such a positive response from fans, the franchise has decided to take this series further, much to our delight.
With a thrilling trailer, Netflix has confirmed that the ‘Bastard!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-‘ anime will get a second season in 2023. It will adapt the Requiem of Hell arc, which takes place two years after the events of the Dark Rebellion storyline.
The trailer starts strong with Tia Noto Yoko’s resolve and flashbacks from when she awakened Dark Schneider.
As we all know, season 1 ended with Abigail’s demise leading to the disappearance of the Meta-Ilicana, or the divine protection. Such a phenomenon is always followed by dire consequences, which we’ll witness in the coming season.
The trailer also teases the sort of bone-chilling chaos and destruction that we are in for this time.
