In Episode 10 of “Banished from the Hero’s Party,” Red meets up with Van, thinking he may be able to change his way of seeing blessings. Red’s confidence came from him having the blessing of the guide. Sure enough, Van didn’t take him lightly. 2. Episode 11 Speculation

Red, Rit, and everyone else have kept Ruti hidden from Van for so long. While she was hidden, Red confronted Van directly and introduced himself as the guide of the previous hero. Van, who never listened to Escarlata, seemed to have a different impression of Red. He was taking note of his advice, which may indicate that his worldview was changing gradually.

However, the biggest thorn in his way of self-improvement was his companion, the annoying little fairy, Lavender. If her mindset can’t be changed, it will be hard for Van to improve. Red will probably reveal Ruti’s existence and her identity to Van once he thinks the time is right. Until then, it’s just their attempt to change Van.

3. Recap of Episode 10

The episode started when Van, Lavender, and Ljuub blamed Rit for hiding Esta, whom Lavender suspected to be a traitor. Rit took them inside their house, where Esta was present, but she was just there to gather information about Ruti, or so she said. Soon after they met, Rit introduced Red to Lavender.

Cardinal Ljuub was pretty shocked to see Red and Danan there. He explained that they had been living a quiet life in Zoltan since their roles were over and Ruti was going missing. Ljuub was shocked, yes, but someone was a lot more shocked. This someone was Van, after knowing that Red had the blessing of the guide.

His very existence raised a question about Van’s beliefs since, according to his ideology, Red had no reason to keep living, yet he was standing there. This made Van doubt himself for the first time. Lavender became pretty annoying since she tried to stop Van from seeing the truth. The meeting ended quickly since Van’s party was too surprised.

Later that day, Red met Ruti and, on his way back home, met with Megria from the adventurer’s guild. He accepted a commission for killing some sea bogies that were seen nearby. He asked Van and Lavender to join them, to which the duo agreed. With many questions still in his mind, Van headed out with Red the next day.

Once the battle with the sea bogies began, both Van and Red did a good job, but needless to say, Red killed a lot more than Van, even though he was the “hero.” Red gave him a few words of advice, and very unlike himself, he actually took note of them. As they were about to leave, Rit noticed tracks of more sea bogies.

The whole group followed the tracks and reached a cave where the sea bogies might be keeping an abducted child. They found the bogies shortly after, and once they confirmed that the child wasn’t nearby, Van rushed to kill the monsters. After they saved the child, she started crying while holding Van. Van, who is mostly emotionless, has a very obvious expression on his face that says something has changed inside him.
