Red and Rit both successfully warned Lavender and Lub that Van should not fight the girl he came looking for; it doesn’t seem like they would be able to stay away from violence completely. Lavender will definitely side with Van, and he wouldn’t listen to Lub even if he told him to stop. Van never had much morals to begin with, but after his near-death experience, he lost all sense of self. Now, instead of doing what a hero should do, he’s set on killing Ruti. What finally happens is something we’ll find out with the release of episode 10.

After tasting defeat in Ruti’s hand, Van swore to kill her even though he didn’t know Ruti’s identity. Once he recovered a bit, he went to the South Seas to hunt deadly monsters and raise the level of his blessing. He was confident that with this new power, he could face Ruti and maybe even kill her. Back at Zoltan, Albert relayed Escarlata’s message about Van’s return to everyone.
Everyone there agreed that it’d be pointless to make Ruti fight Van and that it would only cause more problems for Ruti’s new life. Red wanted to strategically remove Van from Zoltan before he could stir up trouble. He decided that Rit would distract Lavender, the fairy traveling with Van, and Danan would be Rit’s escort. Yarandrala would tag along with Red as he would negotiate with Cardinal Lub.
The day before Van arrived, Tisse asked Red why Ruti and Van were so different. Red told her that the goals in their minds were completely different and that, unlike Ruti, Van was a complete slave to his own blessing. Tisse said if their plan failed and it came down to fighting, winning against Van wouldn’t be easy. The next day, Van returned to Zoltan in hopes of fighting Ruti.
He wanted to go search for Ruti immediately, but Lub stopped him, saying he needed to rest and that Lub and Escarlata would go search for the girl. Van agreed to this and went to his room with Lavender. There, Lavendar spotted Rit and Danan in an alley from the window. She confronted them, and as she tried to start a fight, Rit calmed her down, saying she wanted to talk about love.
On Red’s side, he disguised himself so Lub wouldn’t recognize him. He baited him by telling him which horse was gonna win the race. After the day ended, he took Lub to a restaurant they booked for the day and made Yarandrala the bartender. Red pleased Lub even more with top-quality wine and food. After Lub was satisfied with everything, Red warned him about Ruti, and back at Rit’s side, she did the same to Lavender while avoiding any fight.
