Baldur’s Gate 3 player finds the actual use of Heavy Supply packs in Honour Mode

The developers’ intentions are often not evident in the game, and players consider it a “creative choice” with little consequence. However, Larian Studios has proven yet again how well-designed and well thought Baldur’s Gate 3 is, with yet another player finding something new about the game almost three months after its release.

In the highest difficulty mode of Baldur’s Gate 3, also known as the Honor Mode, Redditor u/yoboililj has found that the Heavy Supply pack is handy as it provides 80 camp supplies at only ten weights. 

It must be kept in mind that in the Honor Mode, players face the ultimate challenge in Baldur’s Gate 3. A total party kill in honor mode ultimately ends the Playthrough. Additionally, Bosses in the game also have access to unique abilities just like the players to ensure a fresh perspective.

Players are also given an upgraded health pool for the adventurers and wanderers. To prepare spells and abilities, players must take long rests in Honor. However, the caveat is that the game asks for 80 camp supplies instead of the usual 40.

This is why the Heavy Supply pack is handy, which is not helpful or apparent in the regular gameplay. To acquire the Heavy Supply, players must reach Act 3, and the Heavy Supply can be found inside Danthelon’s Dancing Axe on a shelf next to the door. 

However, the fact that it does not appear earlier in the game in the Honour Mode sits badly for the players. This is aggravated by the fact that in the Honour mode, players must fare especially more carefully, and it could take some time to get to the Heavy Supply pack and reduce the chances it could be used.

Regular supply packs appear in the game quite abundantly. They can be found quite easily in Act 1 at the Goblin Camp or Underdark. The standard packs supply only 40 camp supplies, meaning players must collect two in the Honor mode to make it usable.

This is one of the few instances that shows that the developers have put in a lot of thought while designing the game and ensuring that the highest difficulty mode provides an appropriate challenge to the players.
