Balance Unlimited is a Japanese anime television series produced by Clover Works, directed by Tomohiko Ito and inspired by the novel “The Millionaire Detective” written by Yasutaka Tsutsui.
The plot revolves around Daisuke Kanbe, a detective with extraordinary assets is assigned to the Modern Crime Prevention Headquarters, where only those who have caused problems for the Metropolitan Police Department are sent.
There, Daisuke is partnered with Haru Katou. Haru is repulsed by Daisuke’s material ways, believing that money isn’t the answer for everything. Challenging mysteries unfold in front of the two detectives, as they work together to solve them.

3. Recap of Episode 6
Episode 6, begins with Kambe’s team being happy that they did something the First Division couldn’t even do. Haru is happy hearing his friends supporting him and they both go inside the board room.
The high officials question them about the chaos that they had caused during the investigation process. He also criticized them about the fact that they allowed the suspect to die and the truth about the incident remains to be a secret.
The high official decides that they would first clarify the truth about the case and then they will take the necessary action. One of the officials said that due to Kambe’s group action they won’t get away by a simple cut in their pay. The official asks them if they have something to say and Yomoto raises his hand. He said that they were taking a break as the inspector Haru had instructed.
Saeki, Yumoto, Kamei puts all the blame on Haru and they said that they warned him. Kamei said he had no choice but to do as Haru instructed. Haru said it’s true they allowed the suspect to die but they saved the president’s life. Haru tries to tell Kambe that he must also explain to the officials what happened. Kambe replied that he was off-duty and he was not involved in the mission.
The officials said that punishment for inspector Haru will be relayed at a later time. He would also not take part in any case henceforth. The next day Kambe solved another case of a lady named Imura who was driving recklessly. He interrogates her and asks her about the gas that is produced by her company. The lady got furious because she was asked about the gas and not her driving.
Kambe tricked her for a hit and run case so that he could find the truth about the gas bomb that was used in trying to kill the president. Kambe asked her about the bomb and she refused to talk without her lawyer. Further, the lady decided that she would talk and she asked them to leave the room.
She wanted to first talk to her boss and the old police officer told Haru that they must play dirty sometimes if they wanted to get information. Haru gets angry saying that he cannot allow them to treat her like that and they allow her to go. When she tried to start her car it exploded with her and her guard.
At the end of the episode, Haru questions the director about what is going on and he showed him the Sayuri Kambe murder case.
