Bad Monkey Season 1 Episode 6: Recap & Ending Explained

Bad Monkey episode 6 premiered on Apple TV+ on September 11, 2024. The episode is ‘Yo, Would You Tell Ms. Chase I Still Love Her Like Crazy.’

The sixth episode of Bad Monkey opens with Yancy and Rosa trying to figure out how to take Nick and Eve Stripling into custody after they managed to get away with it in the fifth episode. A lot occurs in this episode regarding the show’s main characters.

In the final seconds of Bad Monkey episode six, Yancy is taken into custody, Neville is shot, and The Dragon Queen is abducted.

1. How Does Yancy Get Caught? 

In Bad Monkey episode 6, Yancy speaks with Ro, his guide and companion. We later see a flashback of Yancy giving gifts to Ro’s kids. Yancy gives his son a turtle because he didn’t like the red lights at night. Yancy explains that the lights are meant to stop the turtles from confusing the white light for the moon, which serves as their compass.

When the child asks him what his light is, Yancy responds that he usually looks up to Ro and points him in the right direction. Sonny is the good guy in this scenario, and Yancy has made a mistake. But enough with the metaphors for now.

Yancy visits Ro’s residence and finds Bonnie living with a young man, Cody, who seems to be on her way out. Bonnie requests time alone with Cody in his cabin, and Yancy agrees.

After arriving at Ro’s place, Yancy is taken into custody for O’Peele’s murder. Meanwhile, Eve and Nick celebrate Yancy’s arrest and feel a small sense of relief. Yancy’s lawyer, Ro’s husband, is shocked by Ro’s snap judgment. Not even considered a witness, Rosa pledges to gather evidence to save Yancy.

Meanwhile, a woman and her daughter visit the Dragon Queen and find out that James has given her the land’s documents as payment for bringing about his demise. The woman objects to the Dragon Queen charging for James’ release.

Now, this land is part of the construction that Eve and Nick are purchasing, but even though they already have James’ family’s approval, they cannot proceed if the Dragon Queen decides not to sell. Now that we know the Dragon Queen’s relationship with Egg, she can easily contact Eve and Nick, so she persuades him to schedule a meeting for her.

2. What happens to The Dragon Queen?

In Bad Monkey episode six, Egg breaks up the Dragon Queen’s private moment with Neville by spotting him outside her window. Neville is shot by Egg, who also makes an unsuccessful second attempt to pursue him. Dragon Queen spots a chance later in Bad Monkey’s sixth episode. Egg assists her in meeting Eve and Nick after she baits him into her trap.

When the couple meets her, she shares the details of a property left to her by a deceased client. Wanting to sell it to Nick and Eve at a fair price to fulfill her dreams, she becomes enraged when they treat her disrespectfully. Calming herself, she confronts them about their dishonesty and uses her mystical abilities to sense guilt in their hearts.

Subsequently, the Dragon Queen is abducted in this episode. When she is in the forest, someone covers her face with a bag and drags her off. Because of their criminal tendencies, viewers of Bad Monkey may question whether Nick and Eve are the real abductors. After she forewarned them, Nick and Eve must have assumed that the Dragon Queen knew Nick was lying about his death to get insurance money. Probably to maintain their cover, they abduct her.

3. Why is Gracie interested in meeting Nick and Eve?

As all of this is going on, Gracie runs into Egg once more and demands to see his boss present a plan that, if approved, could benefit them both. After meeting a man who loves and respects her, Gracie is a woman who wants to settle down. Her current practice of witchcraft does not provide her with the financial stability she seeks for her future.

Therefore, she decides to speak with Egg’s boss to negotiate a deal involving Wendell’s land, hoping that this will secure her future. Gracie discovers that Nick and Eve are just regular Americans willing to exploit the weak for their benefit. Gracie establishes boundaries fast, telling them not to mess with her because she is protective and skilled at warding off intruders.

4. After all this time, when Bonnie finally meets Cody, what does she decide?

When Bonnie and Cody arrive at Yancy’s cabin, Fitz, Yancy’s father, greets them and immediately notices the special bond between Bonnie and his son. Bonnie considers settling down with 26-year-old Cody in the peaceful surroundings. She believes that getting married could improve their situation.

But Bonnie is devastated when she reads through Cody’s diary, where he records his ideas and thoughts for his novel. Cody still thinks like the little kid who fell in love with Bonnie when she was his teacher, it turns out. Bonnie is sick of running and knows that chasing Cody right now could even endanger her life. She wants to significantly impact her life because she is getting older every day.

Upon returning to the station, Mendez is pleased to see Yancy in prison. However, Yancy reveals that Mendez’s intention is solely for revenge due to their history of discord. The supervising officers recognize Mendez’s resentment and find him unsuitable for his detective role. Moreover, there is insufficient evidence to confirm Nick’s survival or implicate Eve in O’Peele’s murder, leaving Monte feeling powerless.

5. Bad Monkey Episode 6 “Yo, Would You Tell Ms. Chase I Still Love Her Like Crazy” Ending Explained:

I. How does the recent discovery impact Yancy’s case?

Rosa investigates a private airport and sees Clasper unloading drug cartons with gang members. Meanwhile, Rogelio conducts research and discloses crucial information to the investigation room.

Mendez altered evidence to frame Yancy. A neighbor saw a one-armed man enter the victim’s home, but Mendez made her withhold this information. Commanding officers later realized Mendez had left to retrieve case files.

Rogelio feels relieved for doing the right thing in a difficult situation. Yancy is glad to see him standing up for his best friend, strengthening Yancy’s case. Detective Russell discovers Bonnie is with another man and breaks into Yancy’s home. He then goes to the cabin and informs Bonnie that her running days are over.

II. Does Detective Russell get hold of Bonnie?

Fritz later informs investigator Russell that she is searching for Bonnie when he gets to her place. Once again, Bonnie has chosen to flee, using Fritz’s airboat, as he leads her to the back. Rosa watches Neville plummet from Clasper’s jet in the interim.

She was spotted with Yancy at his sister’s Miami cafe, and Neville immediately knew she was the one. After the show, Gracie follows a trail through the middle of the forest to return to her home. It looks as though she has been abducted when someone covers her head with a cloth bag. Nick and Eve must have asked Egg to get rid of her because we never find out who kidnapped her.

Egg may have felt threatened, so he may be carrying out his bosses Nick and Eve’s orders to abduct and kill Gracie. Does Yancy’s case have the potential to help him obtain bail and regain his detective position? When Nick and Eve have been wreaking havoc in the Keys, will Neville and Rosa work together to collect hard evidence against them? After going above and beyond to support Yancy, what will become of Rogelio? We might look into these questions in the next episode.
