Ayakashi Triangle Episode 5 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

The secret behind Ayakashi mediums is revealed in episode 4 of Ayakashi Triangle, titled “The Melancholy of the Ayakashi Medium”.

Matsuri tries and gets along with Suzu’s friend group and finds himself fitting in after putting in some effort. He exorcises a weak Ayakashi during the process and manages to save one of her friends from danger.

Soga summons Matsuri to the courtyard and gives him details on what an Ayakashi medium is, and he is in complete denial that Suzu could ever be an Ayakashi.

1. Episode 5 Speculation: 

Suzu snuck out and went into Matsuri’s room to kiss him, and next episode, we will likely see his surprised reaction as he questions what’s happening. This will likely escalate the situation, and they can discuss their relationship.

Moreover, the fact that Suzu is an Ayakashi medium complicates things as he contemplates whether he should exorcise or continue to protect her from Ayakashi for as long as she lives.

3. Recap of Episode 4:

Suzu and Matsuri talk about the previous day’s incident and the other exorcist ninjas that exist besides him and his grandpa. Suzu wished he would tell her more about it since she could understand it more.

Suzu hangs around with her girl group as Matsuri stays on the outskirts and not involving himself in the conversation about current TV trends. Matsuri storms off and leaves immediately as he doesn’t get all this girl talk.

She approaches Matsuri on the rooftop and lectures him about being rude to her friends, but Matsuri doesn’t understand. She pulls him to apologise to Yayo and finds her petting Shirogane and playing with him.

Shirogane explains that he has turned into a completely normal cat to fit in and survive within the school and teases Matsuri sometimes. He reveals that an Ayakashi has possessed Yayo and that Shirogane is in danger.

He uses his Ashen Wind ability to expose the Ayakashi hiding near her feet, causing her to slip and fall all the time. She trips and falls down the stairs, but Matsuri catches her right on time.

She apologises to her too, and they have a bonding moment with all of them as they make a group chat to get to know each other better. Meanwhile, Shirogane is being petted by the school’s teachers as well.

Matsuri performs the ritual of Dread on the Ayakashi to scare it off back to the mountains and prevent it from performing any more mischief. Later the girl group have a rooftop gossip session. 

A pigeon Ayakashi shows up, brings a message from the Master, and summons Matsuri to the courtyard immediately, and he leaves in the middle of school. Soga is revealed to have been the one in the yard.

Soga explains that an Ayakashi medium is usually a mix of both a human and an Ayakashi and that if she got too close to humans, she would be viable for exorcism by the ninjas. Suzu notices that he is now depressed and is interrupted by Shirogane on the run.

At home, Suzu makes more Kibi Dango to feed Shirogane but seems to be eating most of it herself. She thinks of other sweets she could make and goes to bed thinking about Matsuri, while Matsuri can’t sleep thinking about her.

Ayakashi Triangle is a manga series by Kentaro Yabuki which was first published in June 2020. Both Viz Media and Shueisha publish the manga digitally in English.

The story focuses on Kazamaki Matsuri, a teen ninja exorcist who fights ayakashi. When his childhood best friend, Suzu, is in danger of being devoured by a spirit, he stands as a barrier and gets cursed.

Due to the curse, his body transforms into that of the girl. Now, Matsuri has to get accustomed to his new body while trying to protect Suzu and undo the curse.
