In episode 2 of Ayakashi Triangle, titled “Girl Friend,” Matsuri gets used to life as a girl.

With his new body, he also experiences all the problems that a girl faces in her day-to-day life, being even more difficult since he keeps forgetting about his new body and wandering into the wrong bathroom.

Making friends with Suzu’s group and completely shocking all the boys, he is a different persona in school now. Matsuri has yet another encounter with Shirogane and has to battle with him twice to save Suzu, but he is repeatedly stopped before exorcising him.

Episode 3 Speculation

With Shirogane as a pet, Matsuri will have to face even more problems in his daily life than it already was. The next episode will likely show Shirogane trying to stir up some trouble and get his hands on Suzu but being stopped by Matsuri.

Moreover, in school, Matsuri is now part of Suzu’s friend circle and has introduced himself to all of the girls there. The boys might also try shooting their shot entirely in the dark about what has happened.

Recap of Episode 2

The episode begins with Matsuri being helped out in his new body by Suzu, and they both go off to school together. Matsuri tells her to be more careful, so they don’t run into another Shirogane incident again.

All the guys ogle over the new cute girl in class at school. Suzu’s friends also take notice of Matsuri and want to be friends with her. Matsuri senses Ayakashi nearby and runs to take action and finds Shirogane outside.

He offers a deal in exchange for changing him back; he wants to be unsealed. Shirogane unseals an ancient monster that was sealed away for years, and it immediately goes to attack Suzu and gets destroyed by Matsuri in the process.

After school, Suzu’s friends meet Matsuri and exchange their basic introductions. Suzu uses this excuse to get closer to him, exchange contact information, and sit with him on the bus.

Matsuri asks his grandpa about Shirogane and tries to learn more about what he is after to protect her better. On the school rooftop, Matsuri tells Suzu what he knows, and she plays it off without taking it seriously.

At night, Suzu sneaks over to Matsuri’s house and expresses nervousness about Shirogane coming for the scroll. However, its nothing more than a trick by Shirogane as he shapeshifted into Suzu to trick her.

Matsuri chases after Shirogane and can immediately retrieve the scroll. The fight reaches Suzu’s house, and he goes to kill him but is stopped by Suzu yet again, thus saving his life to use him for information, keeping him close by as a pet.

Ayakashi Triangle is a manga series by Kentaro Yabuki which was first published in June 2020. Both Viz Media and Shueisha publish the manga digitally in English.

The story focuses on Kazamaki Matsuri, a teen ninja exorcist who fights ayakashi. When his childhood best friend, Suzu, is in danger of being devoured by a spirit, he stands as a barrier and gets cursed.

Due to the curse, his body transforms into that of the girl. Now, Matsuri has to get accustomed to his new body while trying to protect Suzu and undo the curse.
