Ayaka Episode 8: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Yukito learns all about the past of Ayaka Island in episode 7 of Ayaka, titled “Forget the Past.”

The episode presented us with the generic and typical backstory one was expecting from the anime. The story was pretty straightforward, where Haruaki and Aka used to train under Yukito’s father.

Things were going well and fine until that one day which turned the course of history. Yukito’s father sacrificed himself for the sake of the island, and Aka and Haruaki parted ways after that fateful day.

1. Episode 8 Release Date

Episode 8 of the Ayaka anime has been released on Saturday, Aug 19, 2023. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Saturday. You can watch Ayaka on Crunchyroll.

2. Episode 8 Speculations

Yukito might try to find a way to get Haruaki and Aka back together in episode 8 of Ayaka, titled “You Have Come to Wear Some Better Expressions.”

As always, the title gives us little to no idea about what will happen in the next episode. Going by what happened in the previous episode, I think it is fine to guess that Yukito will make an attempt to get Haruaki and Aka to become friends again.

That is the most obvious course of action one can take a guess about. Other than that, I don’t have any idea what generic material the anime will offer us the next week.

3. Episode 7 Recap

The episode begins with the time when Yukito and Jingi are little, and Yukito’s father, Makoto, is still alive. Aka comes home wounded after a rough battle, but he and Haruaki begin their training again.

Makoto scolds Jingi for not training. Aka asks Makoto why he is not letting Haruaki pacify the fire dragon. Makoto replies that it is still too soon for that.

They all enjoy some happy times together while Makoto, Jingi, Aka, and Haruaki go around completing their missions. It was still peaceful and fun. It all soon ends when trouble arises.

After continuous quakes, Makoto decides to go out and fetch himself a weapon. In the meantime, it seemed like the quakes had begun to break the seal put on the fire dragon.

Aka and Haruaki decide to go out, handle the situation and conduct the pacifying ritual. They try to pacify the dragon, but it forces its way out. The seal keeps it from coming out completely.

However, while performing, Aka loses balance, and Haruaki rushes to protect him. The dragon finally comes out, but their master shows up at the right time to protect them from burning to ashes.

Makoto sends them away and stays back to seal the dragon and reduce the damage caused. The chaotic night ends, and in the morning, Aka and Haruaki go out to find their master.

They do find him, but it is too late by then. We get back to the present, where Momoko narrates all this to Yukito and tells him that the relationship between Haruaki and Aka strained after this, and they parted ways.

Ayaka is an original television anime by GoRA and Kind Records which is directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama at Studio Blanc.

The plot follows an orphan named Yukito Yanagi, who meets a disciple of his father. The man takes him to his birthplace on Ayakajima, made up of seven islands where mysterious beings called “Mitama” and dragons are rumored to reside.

The story follows the orphan as he embarks on a journey to protect his mystical birthplace.
