Ayaka Episode 2: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

We meet Yanagi and Jing in episode 1 of Ayaka, titled “Why Don’t You Go for a Ride?”

The first episode of this new fantasy anime introduced us to the world of this anime-original. We got introduced to the protagonists and a few side characters. The episode was pretty basic, and there wasn’t anything really unique about it. 

The protagonists, Yanagi and Jing seem to be having some kind of mysterious powers. We didn’t get much explanation about them as the episode mainly focused on Yanagi’s problems in the new place he had shifted to.

1. Episode 2 Speculations

We will meet some new characters and explanation about the world in episode 2 of Ayaka titled “I Definitely Drank Too Much.”

The anime has just started, so it is obvious we will be meeting some new characters, friends, and foes. We didn’t get much explanation behind the powers the whole anime is based on. So I guess we will have more of it in the next episode. 

The title might be referring to Jing. He drank a lot in the previous episode, and this might be an indication that we will learn more about Jing’s life before Yanagi’s arrival. 

2. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of the Ayaka anime has been released on Saturday, Jul 08, 2023. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

3. Episode 1 Recap

A huge volcanic eruption takes place in an unknown town, causing havoc and chaos. Yukito and Jingi, two kids, run as fast as they can to catch the first ferry. 

They learn from the ship captain that their master, along with Haruaki and Aka, have gone to deal with the eruption. Later, Yanagi gets a recurring dream where he is underwater. 

Yanagi graduates from his school and decides to go back to his hometown. He talks with his teacher and is about to head out when he meets a strange drunk guy who seems to know him. 

After following him for a while, the boy throws Yanagi into the water from a bridge. Slowly, the water starts moving around and forming a storm. The strange boy stops the storm.

He packs Yanagi into a bag and takes him away on a boat. When Yanagi wakes up, Jingi (the strange boy) tells him that they are going to Ayaka Island, his hometown.  

When they reach the island, Yanagi is greeted by Amamiya Momoko and Inou Sanji, his previous landlord and his guardian, respectively. They give him a warm and cheerful welcome and take him home. 

Yanagi’s father was a “Ley Master,” a man with strange abilities. It was his will to get Yanagi back. They ask him if he is willing to stay. He agrees positively. 

He goes to his room, where Jing shows up and asks him why he is being rude. Yanagi tells him that he doesn’t want to be near people as they only get hurt around him. 

Jing doesn’t seem to listen to all that, which frustrates Yanagi, and he leaves. He goes out to have a walk when suddenly, a giant monster shows up from under the water. 

Jing comes in to save him and show him what he and his master does with their strange powers. He destroys the monster, but more show up. He throws Yanagi inside one of them, and in anger, Yanagi blasts it from within. 

Jing tells him to relax a bit and let it all sink in. Some characters get the news of Yanagi’s return, and Yanagi accepts his new home.

Ayaka is an original television anime by GoRA and Kind Records which is directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama at Studio Blanc.

The plot follows an orphan named Yukito Yanagi, who meets a disciple of his father. The man takes him to his birthplace on Ayakajima, made up of seven islands where mysterious beings called “Mitama” and dragons are rumored to reside.

The story follows the orphan as he embarks on a journey to protect his mystical birthplace.
