After 13 years, Avatar 2 will finally see the light of the day towards the end of 2022 and the trailer for the sequel is as grand and magnificent as anyone could imagine.
Avatar: The Way of Water’s trailer was released online on May 9 following the exclusive premiere at the cinemas.
The first look at the magical landscape of Pandora and the Sully family is a fitting reply as to why the movie took more than a decade to arrive. From the very start, we see the nostalgic floating mountains with the vast Pandora sky behind them.
The Na’vis happiness becomes short-lived as they sense growing danger. With new and glorious aquatic creatures, Jake Sully’s (Sam Worthington) priority remains only one—Neytiri and their kids.
The Sully family is now made up of Jake, Neytiri, Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), Tuktirey (Trinity Bliss), Lo’ak (Britain Dalton), and an adopted son, Miles (Jake Champion).
As they gear up for an epic war in breathtaking scenery,
Wherever we go, this family is our fortress.

James Cameron’s Avatar opened a gateway never imagined before in the history of cinema, back in 2009. With upgraded technology and advancements, Avatar 2’s discussion always brought up if it would be able to go beyond the expectations.
The trailer for The Way of Water seems to answer it with an affirmative. The concept art of Pandora is all the more mesmerizing—floating rocks, aerial scenes with the banshee, the neon-glowing jungle, and enthralling and calm underwater imagery. With another cinematic masterpiece by Cameron finally about to be released, the wait of thirteen years does not seem to be that upsetting anymore.
Moreover, THR reported that the trailer raked in a whopping 148.6 million views in the first 24 hours. It reported that the numbers overtook the trailers for the recent Star Wars movies, including Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Before Avatar: The Way of Water hits cinemas globally on December 16, 2022, Cameron will re-release a remastered version of Avatar in September for people to jog their memories.
