In the original Fresh Prince, Reid starred as Aunt Viv, replacing Janet Hubert after the first three seasons. Meanwhile, Watson-Johnson appeared in a total of 15 episodes as Will’s mother, Viola “Vy” Smith.
Peacock’s Bel-Air is a reimagination of the beloved classic sitcom and has previously received a two-season order back in September 2020.
Bel-Air airs new episodes every Thursday on Peacock and has four episodes to go before it wraps up Season 1, with the finale set for March 31.
