The Band Behind Attack on Titan’s Rebellious OP 7 Shifts to Pony Canyon

With a new cour comes new theme songs, and Attack on Titan’s new OP is a banger, to say the least. It was only recently revealed that the track’s singer is SIM, a reggae and punk band.

It was goosebumps-worthy when the first episode opened, and the song started playing in sync with the Attack Titan’s roars.

The opening theme song for Attack on Titan: The Final Season part 2 is titled “The Rumbling.” The name is derived from the global threat that humanity faces from Eren, and the track fits its title.

With a heavy metal intro and suitable lyrics, I can’t imagine how any other song could suit the anime’s current season, which is the definition of blood and gore.

“Tearless, fearless, burning, burning” manages to sum up the future of the fictional world in AoT.

SiM has worked under labels like Sony and Universal Music Japan and is now ready to move onto Pony Canyon.

The four-member band debuted in 2004 and has produced many hit tracks to date. The Shingeki no Bahamut anime has previously featured their theme songs.

“The Rumbling” was composed by the band members after learning AoT’s plot, which explains how smoothly it fits with the anime and its atmosphere.

SiM started their new year with a brand new anime collaboration and a change in label, so their next project is currently a hot topic among fans.

The band’s musical style mixes heavy metal, punk, hip hop, and other such genres with rebellious lyrics. I’m looking forward to hearing more music from them in collaboration with popular anime.
