The new virtual reality game is set in the post-apocalyptic world of the Attack on Titan universe. It will be released in the summer of 2023.
Although the teaser did not reveal any actual gameplay, it only mentioned the sole purpose of the game which is “protect the future of humanity” and “eliminate the titan threat.” The VR game will feature Japanese and English voiceovers and subtitles for its players.
Attack on Titan VR will feature two gameplay modes: solo and co-op. In the solo campaign, players will fight their way through the fleet of titans to take back control of the city.
Attack on Titan is a popular franchise among developers. Omega Force and Koei Tecmo published Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, an action game featuring important scenes from the manga. Another title, Attack on Titan: Team Battle, was also announced but was canceled later due to internal issues.
Univrs will reveal more details about the co-op mode and gameplay of Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in a couple of months.
