Attack on Titan: The Last Attack Serves as the Ideal Ending for the Anime
On August 17, it was revealed that Attack on Titan: The Last Attack will have a runtime of 145 minutes and will be the embodiment of director Yuichiro Hayashi’s original vision. This carefully constructed version, created by the director, promises to be a cinematic masterpiece.
“I’m happy to be able to make this announcement finally,” he said. “Please don’t say that you can watch the final episode anytime on streaming services… [lol] I originally drew the storyboard with the idea that it would be watched as a single movie, and having the opportunity to have everyone watch it in the best possible environment, the theater, is a dream come true for me. We are also working on updating the visuals a bit. Please come and experience the rumbling at the movie theater!”
Future of Attack on Titan
The fate of the Attack on Titan anime is uncertain after it concluded last year. The franchise is still taking advantage of its worldwide popularity with the release of new products, like the Attack on Titan VR game, which debuted at the top of the Meta Quest Store’s weekly bestsellers list globally.
In the near future, a new CG theme park ride called Attack on Titan: The Ride: Battle of Rebellion will be launched, offering fans the chance to experience the first battle simulation of the popular series. The impact of the original manga series, especially in North America, will be honored when publisher Kodansha opens its first stateside pop-up store, Kodansha House, next month.
Attack on Titan The Movie: The Last Attack will combine the Final Chapters of Attack on Titan’s Final Season into a 145-minute film. Series director Yuichiro Hayashi directs the compilation film. Fans can keep watching the series on Crunchyroll until the international release of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack.
