After a super successful run of Attack on Titan’s season 4 part 2, the production committee has decided it’ll be fun to torture the fans even more. (I bet Hajime Isayama loved the idea.)
Instead of airing the much-awaited finale and shattering our hearts in a single swoop, the anime’s conclusion will be released next year. They even had the guts to end part 2 just as the rumbling began.
Part 3 of Attack on Titan The Final Season will cover the conclusive arc and will be released in 2023. The news was announced immediately after the finale of part 2.
There have been rumors about Attack on Titan receiving an anime original ending. While these rumors haven’t been proven true, many fans are putting their trust in them.
There is also a high possibility of part 3 being a movie rather than a cour. This stems from the fact that very less material remains to be adapted, and several episodes will stretch it out while a movie can provide a clean finish.
With the recent movie boom in the industry, an Attack on Titan movie will be no surprise.
If you think that three parts for one conclusion are way too much, then I agree with you. The anime has been testing fans’ patience lately. Although the upcoming part is tagged as the ‘conclusion,’ there’s no telling whether it’ll really put an end to the story or not.
