Episode 7 of Attack on Titan, season 4, part 2, titled “Sunset,” is the latest installment of the anime. 1
Annie has woken up from her deep slumber after four long years, revealing that she knew about their current situation because of being able to hear Armin and Hitch. She no longer cares about anyone but her father and heads back to Marley with the help of Hitch.
We got a look at her life before she became a warrior candidate, and suffice to say, it was a pretty harsh life. She was born out of an affair between an Eldian man and a Marleyan woman and was abandoned after birth.
The man who took her in trained her hard so that she could join the army and make their lives easier.
Armin and Gabi have left in search of Coni so they can save Falco from being eaten by Coni’s mother. It looks like Coni’s resolve to kill Falco has been wavering ever since the boy woke up and thanked him for saving his life.
Also, Levi and Hange are finally back. Hange found Pieck and Magath in the woods and asked them for help. Will the Eldians from Paradis and Marley join hands in a last attempt to stop Eren? We’ll find out in the next episode.
Episode 8 Speculation
In the next episode, we’ll see if Armin and Gabi catch up to Coni in time to save Falco. It looks like Coni lied to Falco about their current situation since Falco doesn’t remember anything after he became a titan.
Coni isn’t really a bad person, and it looks like his will to save his mother will not make him kill a child.
Floch has started to act like a dictator, killing anyone who opposes Eren. Mikasa and Jean are the only ones who can stop him, but Mikasa first needs to accept that she’s going to have to make her own decisions.
Her red scarf, which was her last link to Eren, seems to be lost, and it finally looks like she’s going to break through that mental block.
Finally, Hange and Levi have made an appearance. After almost getting killed by Zeke, Levi has managed to survive, but it’s hard to predict what he can do since he’s in a terrible condition.
I hope that Pieck and Magath help the two, and they somehow come up with a strategy to save the world.

Episode 7 Recap
As the rumbling continues, many citizens debate whether Eren is their savior or a demon who will bring doom upon the whole world.
Hitch and some other army members decide to prepare themselves in case of a riot breaking out since the citizens can get easily agitated when they’re excited.
Hitch goes down to get supplies and notices some strange liquid footsteps leading towards the basement. She investigates them and finds Annie, free from her crystalline shell.
Annie warns her that she can transform into a titan whenever she wants, but Hitch notices how weak her state is.
Regardless of her condition, she takes her to the stable, and the two girls escape from the castle. Annie tells Hitch that she knew their current situation because she could hear Armin and her talking to her occasionally. We then get to see Annie’s life before she became a warrior candidate for Marley.
Annie was born to a Marleyan mother who had an affair with an Eldian man. She was abandoned and taken in by a foreign Eldian who raised her to become a warrior so that they could have a better life.
The man was extremely harsh towards her, making her feel as if being a warrior candidate was all she was suitable for.
When the time came for her to leave on a mission to Paradis island, her father treated her life as his daughter for the first time. He cried for her to stay, ready to give up their honorary Marleyan privileges. Annie promised him that she’d come back for him.
As the flashback ends, we see the Eldians trying to warn the Marleyan guards about Eren’s plan to kill them all, but the latter dismiss it as nonsense. Annie’s dad is one of them, and he tries his best to explain the situation but gets shot.
Meanwhile, Armin prepares to leave in search of Coni to win Gabi’s trust. Mikasa asks him what she should do, and he tells her to stay with Jean and help him. He also tells her to make her own decisions since Eren is a lost cause.
Just before leaving, Armin compares himself to commander Erwin and expresses how he should have been the one to live.
Mikasa then makes her way to Jean and finds Floch terrorizing the ex-volunteers to support him. He kills one of them to set an example and threatens the others to support Eren.
He then turns to Jean and tells him that the fight is over and he can go back to being his original irritating self.
Mikasa asks him about Hange and Levi, and Floch boasts about how Zeke killed both of them. This shocks Mikasa and turns Floch into a genuinely terrifying person.
We then see Coni and Falco going in the opposite direction to the castle. Falco thinks that Coni is helping him, but Coni plans to feed the boy to his mother.
As he thinks about his family, Falco thanks him again and again to save him. After inheriting the Jaw Titan, he has forgotten all the events and thinks that Coni is a good person. As Coni’s confidence falters, he slowly inches towards his mother.
The episode concludes as Hange finds Pieck and Magath. They’re wary of her, but she assures them that she’s unarmed. Magath points his rifle towards an injured Levi, and Hange tells them that he’s just someone who narrowly escaped death.
