Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 Ep 6: Release Date, Speculation

Episode 5 of Attack on Titan, season 4, part 2, titled “From You, 2,000 Years Ago,” is the latest installment of the anime.

This episode revealed the true origins of the Founding Titan. We previously knew that Ymir obtained the power by making a deal with the devil, but the truth was totally different.

As a young girl, Ymir was almost killed by the Eldian king, but a mysterious parasite-like creature resembling a long spine connected to her and transformed her into the first titan.

Since then, for 2000 years, Ymir was used as a slave by the royal family. Even after her death, she assisted them from the paths dimension.

Eren finally made her realize that she didn’t have to be enslaved anymore, and this was the first time when a non-royal Eldian could use the Founder’s powers.

Armin and Mikasa are happy to see that Eren was on their side all along, but their happiness soon turns into shock. Armin notices that all the Wall Titans are marching towards Eren, but they only need a few to fight against Marley.

Eren then addresses all the Eldians using the Founding Titan’s powers and declares that everyone outside Paradis would be wiped out by the Wall Titans.

Is Eren really going to take millions of innocent lives just for his freedom? Can anyone even stop him? We’ll find out in the next episode.

Episode 6 Speculation

History seems to repeat itself as the power of the Founding Titan is once again being used to wipe out all of Eldia’s enemies. This time, the massacre seems to be on a larger scale as Eren has decided to kill everyone who is not an Eldian.

The rumbling has finally begun as all the Wall Titans march outside Paradis, and Eren transformed into the Founding Titan.

We were routing for Eren all this time, but it looks like his method to get back his freedom is too extreme. This is really interesting since his method directly contrasted Zeke’s euthanization plan.

Both of the Yeager brothers went to extremes to achieve their goals, and it looks like Eren has the upper hand now.

Armin, Mikasa, and the other Eldians are left beyond shocked because no one ever anticipated the scale of Eren’s attacks. It looks like no one can even come close to stopping Eren because he basically has control over all his people.

Also, there has been no sign of Hange and Levi since episode one. I don’t think that this is how their story ends, but it’s hard to say what their plan of action is going to be since no one saw what Eren was going to do.

Eren confirms his accusations, explaining how he saw the future four years ago when Historia was made the queen.

Zeke wastes no time and commands Ymir to euthanize the Eldians. Eren is still chained up, but he struggles to break free. We then cut to 2000 years ago, when Ymir first obtained the titan powers.

She was an orphan who lived in a village, helping out everyone in their everyday tasks. One day, the Eldian king attacked her village and enslaved all the villagers.

Someone let out a pig from the pigsty, and the king ordered the offender to step up or else he would gouge out one of their eyes.

Everyone pointed towards Ymir, and the king decided to set her “free.” She was chased through the forest as the royal guards hunted her with arrows. To escape their attacks, she hid inside the trunk of a massive tree that sheltered a strange water body.

Ymir slipped and almost drowned but a mysterious creature with a long spine connected to her and transformed her into a titan.

The king then used her powers in war to strengthen the Eldian Empire. When she died, he made her three daughters, Maria, Rose, and Sina consume her spine so that the titan powers were never lost. Due to the cycle never being broken, Ymir continued to serve the royal family from the paths dimension even after her death.

We cut back to the present, where Eren breaks free from the chains by breaking off his wrist. He runs towards Ymir while Zeke yells at him to stop. He tells him that Ymir was a slave to the royal blood and would never disobey him. Eren catches up to the girl and pulls her into an embrace from behind.

He tells her that she doesn’t have to be a slave anymore and it was her time to break free. He comforts her, saying how she waited for someone to come to her and tell her to stop. Realizing what Eren was doing, Zeke runs towards them, shouting orders to Ymir.

We finally see Ymir’s blank expression turn into an angry one and cut back to the real world where Eren regenerates using the power of the Founding Titan. As he transforms, all the Wall Titans break free and march towards Eren.

Armin explains to Mikasa that Eren had finally won, and the rumbling had begun. Something seems to be off, though, because if he wanted to crush the Marleyans, the titans from Wall Maria would have been enough.

Eren then uses the power of the Founding Titan to directly address all the Eldians. He says that he was going to crush the entire world using the Wall Titans since all of them wanted the Eldians to be dead in the first place.

The episode ends as Eren declares that the titans will not stop until every last life beyond the shores of Paradis island is wiped out.
