Episode 11 intensified our hate for Gabi, and proved to us why she is among the most hated anime characters.
Her recklessness, arrogance and inability to have a broader outlook on the situation is very annoying and irksome to watch.
Meanwhile, the Marleyans have found out that Zeke has betrayed them. They plan to strike back at Paradis as soon as possible.
But are the Survey Corps ready for a second battle against Marley? We bring you the latest episode updates for this anime.
1.Episode 12 Preview and Speculations
In the preview, Armin and Mikasa are having a conversation with Chief Zackly while Eren is locked up in his cell. The preview ends with an explosion in the military headquarters.
I. Armin’s Plea to Meet Eren
Eren has turned into someone who poses a threat to Paradis. After his attack at Libero, the Corps have totally given up on Eren.
Mikasa and Armin decided to talk with him before everything goes out of their hand, so they will visit Chief for permission.
Moreover, Mikasa fears that someone else will be made to inherit the Founding Titan if Eren keeps on acting on his own.
II. The Explosion
The explosion at the headquarter could be caused by the rebels who are protesting against Eren’s unjust detention. However, the explosion looks as if something blasted within a room.
If that’s the case, is this explosion an attempt to kill someone in the headquarters? It may also serve the purpose of distracting the soldiers while Eren escapes from his prison.
As we know, Eren has grown popular among the Eldians, who consider him to be the only hope to attain a free Eldia. I am sure many of them will go this far to save their war hero.

3.Episode 11 Recap
I. Gabi and Falco Escape the Prison
Gabi deceives the guard on duty by pretending to be in pain. As soon as he opens the cell, she bludgeons him down with a brick and escapes from the prison.
Gabi and Falco run far away from the main city to the outskirts of Paradis, where they find a river to rest beside. Falco advises Gabi to remove her armband to avoid getting caught by the Eldian soldiers.
Gabi refuses since she believes that this armband distinguishes her from the rest of the demons. The way she argues over silly things reflects how half-witted she is, and she even attacks Falco for that piece of armband.
II. Welcome to Blouse Stables
Remember the girl whom Sasha saved from a slow-moving titan? Her name is Kaya, and she plays an important role in this episode.
Kaya finds the two kids fighting and quarrelling near the river bed. Assuming they are runaway children, she decides to help them.
She takes them to Mr. Blouse’s stables, where Falco introduces thems as Ben and Miya, siblings who ran away from their house.
Mr. Blouse welcomes them warmly and permits them to stay there and have food for as long as they wish.
None of them have met Gabi or Falco before, but they are ready to make them a part of their family. Mrs. Blouse offers them warm food and takes good care of them.
Falco and Gabi are astonished to see such generosity coming from people whom they consider devils.
It seems that Falco has understood that good and evil lies on both sides of the ocean, but Gabi’s right mentality is finding it hard to accept.
III.Wave of Distrust in the Military Headquarters
Somehow the news of Eren getting detained by the Survey Corps has been leaked, and people have started protesting against this unjust treatment of their war hero.
Many of the Paradisians sees Eren as their only hope of Eldia’s survival. They feel such bold and adamant measures are required to fight a war against Marley.
Meanwhile, five of the corps members are suspected of leaking the secret to the public.
Floch bluntly admits that he was behind it because he feels that Eren has done nothing wrong, and all his reckless moves have ultimately benefitted Paradis.
On the other hand, Yelena is accused of contacting Eren before he started acting on his own. General Pyxis believes that Yelena has something to do with the Libero attack.
IV.Devil’s Deed or Stable’s Deed
Coming to the funniest yet most satisfying scene of the episode, a horse mistakes Gabi’s brown hair for hay and starts chewing it. She is startled and slips over her bucket.

Falco rushes over to save her from the situation and helps her clean the mess. Gabi keeps blaming the devils for everything bad that happened to her while Falco gives her reality checks.
V. Gabi and Falco Revealed
While having a conversation with Gabi on the farm, Kaya reveals that she is already aware of their Marleyan origin. Gabi picks up a sickle and tries to kill her right away, but thankfully Falco somehow stops her.
On the other hand, Kaya is calm and composed and doesn’t care much about Gabi’s birthplace. But Gabi keeps trying to hurt her by reminding her of the sins that her ancestors have committed.
Kaya realizes that Marleyans have brainwashed them, so she takes them to the village where she grew up. She narrates to them how her mother was eaten alive by a titan before her eyes.
She further says that her mother was a very ordinary person with ordinary dreams, yet she faced such a gruesome death. She wonders who the actual sinners are, the Marleyans or the Eldians.
Falco breaks down after hearing this cruel incident. He apologizes to her and reveals that her mother got caught up in the Marleyan operation to stage a larger attack.
Kaya then explains how an older girl saved her that day by risking her own life (Sasha!!) and she adds that she wants to grow up to be someone just like her.
This reminds us of the most epic Sasha moment we have seen in the series.
