Attack on Titan is a masterpiece that has impressed fans with its thrill inducing art and plotline.
Created by Hajime Isayama, this manga series showcased the story of the Eren and his fight to stop man-eating Titans from posing a threat to humanity when the only things separating the humans from Titans are some giant walls.
Attack on Titan manga quickly gained huge popularity and became a name known by fans worldwide.
Its popularity influenced many spinoff mangas, a few novels, anime adaptations, live-action movies and even video games.
Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine announced in their December issue that the manga will be getting a full color version of the serialization soon.
The official dates are not announced yet but this impressive announcement is one of the new seven projects by the magazine.
The manga was launched in 2009 and till date, 32 Volumes have been published. Kodansha Comics is also printing the manga in English while digitally publishing them online.
Isayama plans to end the manga series by the end of 2020. He was seen previewing a rough layout of the last panel in a show in MBS in November 2018.
The story of the series has come a long way. Volume 1 features a timid Eren who witnesses a Titan eating his mother.
This traumatic experience fuels his anger to destroy the Titans and he joins the Elite Squad to fight them. The recent Volumes feature a more mature Eren trying to survive amidst the humans and Titans.
A lot of truth is revealed about the Titans’ existence and the humans’ resentment.
An anime adaptation premiered in 2013 which quickly led to a second season broadcasting 2017.
Cour I of Season 3 premiered in July 2018 while Cour II was broadcasted in April 2019. The final season is set to premiere on December 7th, 2020.
