The Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) manga has been running in Bessatsu’s Monthly Magazine for a decade now.
Amongst all the feats that the manga has achieved, Hajime Iseyama has managed to score a one for himself as well — Iseyama has never missed an issue of Attack on Titan for ten consecutive years.
Yes, as unbelievable as it may sound, Attack on Titan has never been on a break or hiatus. However, the worst fears of AOT fans came true a few hours ago.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, Bessatsu magazine has suspended the current publication July 2020 issue. The May 2020 issue will be coming out in June. Hence, Attack on Titan chapter 129 has been delayed & the manga is on a 3-month hiatus.

pic.twitter.com/ZZsQYzanOH
” As stated in the attached release, we have decided to suspend the issue of another Maga June issue. It’s been 10 years since the first issue of the book, and I have met every month without fail, so it’s true that I’m lonely personally. (Release) We are working towards publication, so don’t forget about another magazine even if you suspend it once. “

This event can be considered both a boon and bane to the AOT fans, depending upon how you see it. The manga has been on a record-high ever since Eren’s characteristic and philosophical changes, and it will be hard to wait for another three months to see what is going to happen next.
On the contrary, and this logic might not be for everybody, Attack on Titan was about to end very soon, and the fans have gotten yet another three months to treasure their favorite characters and hold them in their heart before the “final chapter.”
Chapter 128 Recap
Chapter 128, titled “Traitor,” came out this month. It is safe to say the cover of a survey corp soldier fighting against the Colossus Titan brought back a lot of memories and raised a few questions.
Hange’s group is lying near the port for capturing the “flying boats,” which are currently in the control of the Yeagerists. The whole group is trying to save the Marley land while Reiner realizes the true meaning behind Eren’s words.
With everyone’s resolve strengthened, they start putting up a fight. Reiner and Annie massacre the titans, while Armin stops Daz from destroying the airships. Connie, being Connie, kills both Daz and Samuel in a moment of desperation at the end of the chapter.
It looks like the three-month wait for chapter 129 is going to be WORTH IT!
