Atomic Heart was welcomed with mixed reviews by the gamers community when it initially launched back in February this year. However, now that its first DLC is well on its way, everyone is excited to see what is in store surrounding the game’s content and more.
Mundfish has finally revealed the release date for the long-awaited Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct DLC which will be launching on August 2nd. It will continue the story in Atomic Heart, featuring new shape shifting enemies for P-3 to battle against.
Players will also be introduced to a new location called the Mendeleev Complex, which will be a part of Facility 3826. P-3 still has his glove on and will achieve a new Techno-Stasis ability which will allow him to manipulate time.
The new glove power is in line with the overall theme of Annihilation Instinct, i.e., uncover the hidden truth about NORA, the vending machine used for weapon upgradation and unlocking new skills.
There will be two new weapons in the upcoming DLC– the Secateur, which looks like an energy rifle similar to the Dominator, and the Klusha, which is like a two-handed polearm-type melee weapon. Annihilation Instinct will also bring back several NPCs from the base game and introduce an “enigmatic” character.
Mundfish has also released a New Game+ mode with Update 1.8.0.0, which grants new abilities to enemies. This gameplay mode will be quite challenging for those who find the game a bit boring. The sequel for Atomic Heart is already in development but it will be a while before we get any details about the second installment.
