When you think of Soccer manga, one of the best series that pops up is Days by Yasuda Tsuyoshi!
However, Tsyoshi’s upcoming series “Pause” is anything but sports. The new starry series builds on his previous work; moreover, it shows signs of changing times – the mangaka’s freedom in determining their project and much more.
Either way, the new manga has my curiosity and my attention!
Mangaka Yasuda Tsuyoshi’s new manga series “Pause” will be a new youth drama set in an astrology club. The five new chapters of the manga are set to publish in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine’s issue 36/37 on the 4th of August.
The starry new visual of the manga puts the “astrology” pull of the series front and center. The poster depicts four major characters, all of whom are high schoolers.
From the right, we have a white-haired, stern-looking boy followed by two energetic girls. At last, we can see a person staring at the ground.
If Mr. Tsuyoshi’s previous works are anything to go by, we might see fantastic characters and intriguing relationships.
His works, such as Days and Overdrive (a manga series about bicycle racing), have already received anime adaptations from prestigious studios such as Madhouse.
Furthermore, Yasuda Tsuyoshi is a recipient of the Kodansha award for the best shonen manga series. He is known for mixing incredible drama with eccentric and loveable characters.
Recently, his work was featured on the poster for Japan’s 100th National High School Tournament.
All such feats are clear signs of a mangaka’s potential in weaving stories that touch hearts even if the genre is different. It will be exciting to see how mangaka Tsuyoshi brings his talent to Pause.
If you are a fan of the sensei, then the upcoming manga series “Pause” is a must-read. So, don’t forget to grab a copy.
