A Certain Scientific Railgun: Astral Buddy has been serialized in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine since 2017. The August issue of Dengeki Daioh announced the climax of the series.
The manga’s climax chapter will be published in the September issue of the magazine on July 27.
The plot of the manga revolves around Hokaze Junko, one of the top handmaidens of Shokuhou Misaki. She was known as the “Ringlet Curl girl” in the previous series.
She always blends into the background of her school, but soon she is stalked by a ghostly figure. Junko is shocked as she suddenly becomes a center of attention. Who is this ghostly figure, and what other secrets will she uproot on her way?
The manga is licensed for English release by Seven Seas Entertainment. The third volume of the manga will be shipped on July 14.
The original light novel, A Certain Magical Index, is a massive franchise that has been adapted into several mangas, anime, light novels, anime films, and games.
It is written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura and was initially published in 2004.
A Certain Magical Index later inspired the manga A Certain Scientific Railgun and other series like A Certain Scientific Accelerator.
A Certain Scientific Railgun began serialization in the Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in 2007. It was adapted into three seasons of anime series. It is licensed by Funimation.
All the different sequels and spinoffs concentrate on different characters to bring the best out of them. Characters with potential are showcased, and their separate journey and growth is shown. Accelerator and Junko are both such characters.
About A Certain Magical Index
A Certain Magical Index is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura.
It is based on Tōma Kamijō, a high school student in a scientifically advanced city where he meets a young nun named Index from the Church of England whose mind has been implanted with the Index Librorum Prohibitorum: the magical texts which the church removed from circulation.
This meeting makes him explore more of the secret magical world of Science, and he begins his adventure with his friends.
