The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has caused several delays in the production of anime and manga. Even though industries are trying their best to keep up with their schedules, some delays are just inevitable.
On Thursday, 28th May, Assault Lily’s official website made an announcement that the franchise’s new TV anime, Assault Lily Bouquet, will be delayed.
The premiere date has been postponed to October to prioritize the safety and good health of the staff and cast. The anime was originally slated to premiere sometime in July.
The anime website’s tagline is “A Rhapsody of Petals dancing on the Frontline.” Battles waged by beautiful girls wielding weapons is the theme around which the project centers.
The anime is being directed by Shouji Saeki with Keita Nagahara as the assistant director and produced by SHAFT Studios. The character designer is Mieko Hosoi, and the sub-character designer is Kazuya Shiotshuki. Kazuya is also serving as chief animation director along with Sota Suwa.
