Today, Ubisoft officially revealed its much-anticipated next Assassin’s Creed video game title, “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” presumably set in Baghdad. This reveal came quickly from Ubisoft’s official Twitter handle after the game’s leak surfaced online. However, the game is yet to be announced officially.
Ubisoft will officially announce Assassin’s Creed Mirage in a multi-game showcase called Ubisoft Forward next week on September 10 at 12 noon Pacific / 3 pm Eastern / 8 pm UK.
When will Assassin’s Creed Mirage release?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is rumored to be released in Spring 2023, between April and June. Regardless, none of this is officially confirmed by Ubisoft.
As per the previous rumors, it will be a short standalone Assassin’s Creed game featuring Basim in Baghdad between 860 and 870 during the anarchy in Samarra.
All Leaked Details of Assassin’s Creed Mirage
The Twitter reveal by Ubisoft also contained an exciting frame/poster of the game with the presumed protagonist performing a leaping assassination through an arched gateway in his iconic white and blue assassin robes. His surroundings seem to be a market region with a magnificent domed building in the background.
Also, in a now-deleted tweet, The Codex Network, Assassin’s Creed fan website, shared artworks of this new assassin that is presumed to be Basim from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In this image, the same assassin is shown wielding a hidden blade and a scimitar sword against the silhouette of an enemy.
This leaked image reads as Assassin’s Creed Mirage “The Forty Thieves Quest,” and thus, this could be part of a pre-order bonus. It is also rumored that AC Mirage will also remove some basic RPG elements like levelling system and dialogues.
Fascinatingly, this is not the only planned upcoming Assassin’s Creed title. Ubisoft is also working on Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and we will surely listen more on it on September 10, so mark your calendars, fellas!
