Assassin’s Creed Mirage fans complain about the character models

Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been widely lauded by critics and the Assassin’s Creed fanbase since its release on October 5th. This made it the most profitable game for developers Ubisoft.

A specific part of the fanbase has complained that some visuals and character models in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage look like they have picked up from the Assassin’s Creed titles that came out in 2009. The problem is pronounced in the eyes, even for main characters like Basim and Roshan.

Digital Foundry, earlier in their current-gen console performance review video, had also mentioned the same problem. They also pointed out the issue with NPCs somehow snapping into place when the player gets closer.

While this issue can only be seen in slow-motion and is not noticeable during normal gameplay, some keen-eyed fans have spotted this issue.

The main issue, however, is with the model of the characters, even during the cutscenes with significant characters like Basim. The eyes look out of place, and there is something off about the animation of the eyes when viewed up close.

The eyes look out of place, giving it a rather spooky feel. Fans are unhappy about this and are comparing it to character models developed in the late 2000s.

The more rational part of the fanbase suggested the reason for these minor issues. They said that the problem with the character models is mainly because of the limited budget and workforce that Ubisoft Bordeaux had during Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s development.

The limited budget is mainly because AC: Mirage initially started as a DLC to AC: Valhalla. However, it eventually became a title of its own, credit to Ubisoft Bordeaux and the fantastic team of developers, who managed to pull this off in the budget of a DLC.

That being said, fans can be a little more liberal with Ubisoft Bordeaux with these minor issues because Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a true Assassin’s Creed dream with the incorporation of stealth and revamped parkour, just like the good old days of AC: Brotherhood and Revelations.

Fans can relive the beauty of exquisite 9th Century Baghdad with all its hustle and bustle in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is out now.
