The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been the talk of the town for the past few days. The series has been shrouded by many rumors and speculations about the upcoming games’ settings, stories, and so on.
Yesterday, a credible leaker told the world that the next AC game could adopt the Aztec setting, much to the delight of enthusiasts.
Now today, another reliable industry insider jumped right into the picture to reveal that the future of Assassin’s Creed could house another highly-requested historical setting i.e., Japan.
During his Game Mess podcast, the dependable journalist Jeff Grubb discussed the future of Assassin’s Creed by claiming that the next AC title to launch after Infinity would be set in Japan.
However, Grubb’s co-host, Mike Minotti, begged to differ. He said that a Japanese setting could actually come to AC Infinity rather than being packed by a title that releases after it.
Come to think of it, Minotti is being very logical with his counterpoint here because it makes sense for Ubisoft to boost Infinity’s sales by adding one of the most sought-after historical locations to it.
If both Jeff Grubb and Mike Minotti are being accurate with their report, fans would finally be able to see their dreams become a reality.
Feudal Japan as a setting has always been very alluring to enthusiasts, and naturally, they have been pestering Ubisoft to introduce it ever since the beginning of the franchise.
But as we all know it, the company had been hell-bent on exploring all the cultures that the Middle East and Europe had to offer in their mainline entries for quite some time.
Lastly, besides chewing over the prospect of Japan as a potential location, the two journalists also authenticated the current theory, which states that the upcoming AC Rift will be set in Baghdad, feature a smaller gameplay scope, and return to the old parkour and stealthy ways of the series.
