Pokemon launched a new series late last year, titled Pokemon: The Series, and introduced a new protagonist named Go, who shares the same dream as Ash. Ash has been pursuing the goal to catch all Pokemon and become a Pokemon Master. In the most recent episode, he made a massive step in that direction.
Episode 10 of Pokemon: The Series, titled “The Kairyu Paradise and Hakuryu’s Ordeal!”, aired on January 26 and showed Ash finally capturing a pseudo-legendary Pokemon – Dragonite.
Yes, Ash Ketchum has finally joined the ranks of Drake and Iris as a Dragonite trainer. Ash and Go ran into a bunch of rogue Dragonite on an island where Ash made this phenomenal catch.
Long time fans of the show cannot believe their eyes and are incredibly excited about what this means for Ash’s battle power.
A Dragonite is a kindhearted Pokémon that leads lost and foundering ships in a storm to the safety of land. It is of the Dragon/Flying Pokemon type with insane attack power.
A Dratini evolves into a Dragonair, which finally evolves into a Dragonite. The Official Pokedex lists “circling the globe in just under 16 hours” as a Dragonite’s special skill.
About Pokemon:
Pokemon, first released in 1996, is set up in a world where you can catch monsters and store them in pocket-sized poke-balls, thus the name Pocket Monsters or Pokemon. They are creatures with an affinity to certain elements and some superhuman abilities related to the particular element. Revolving around a teenage boy Ash Ketchum, it takes us through his journey to becoming the greatest Pokemon trainer the world has ever seen.
