Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Blockbuster Netflix Series Gets Season 2 Filming Update

Arnold Schwarzenegger has come up with an exciting update for Netflix’s FUBAR after it got renewed for season 2.

FUBAR is a spy-comedy thriller that follows a CIA agent (Schwarzenegger) whose work becomes extremely complicated after he learns that his daughter (Monica Barbaro) is also an agent. 

Contrary to expectations, season 1 became a streaming hit, leading to its second season greenlight in June. As viewers eagerly await the premiere date of FUBAR Season 2, Schwarzenegger has confided that filming is scheduled to begin next month, according to his fan newsletter (via TVLine).

FUBAR season 1, which had eight episodes, was released on Netflix in May 2023. According to Schwarzenegger, production for the second season is scheduled to start in April. 

Considering this timeline, it’s unlikely that we’ll see new episodes before 2025. It looks like Netflix plans to launch the next season early in 2025. However, the exact release date hasn’t been announced yet.

We’re still waiting to see which actors from FUBAR season 1 will return to join Schwarzenegger for more heart-pumping action in season 2. 

Considering how central Luke Brunner’s chemistry with his daughter Emma was in the first season, it’s pretty likely that Barbaro will reprise her role. Moreover, juggernauts like Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, and Travis Van Winkle added to the show’s humor. Thus, it will be a great loss for the show if they don’t come back for season 2.

FUBAR season 1 ended on a cliffhanger after Luke and Emma’s covers were blown, and the four were forced to go to the lam. Therefore, we can assume that season 2 will tie all the loose ends and resolve the romantic conflicts that were established in season 1. 

However, we cannot exclude the possibility of FUBAR season 2 going on some wild adventure on a completely different tangent.
