Arnold Schwarzenegger has had quite a roller coaster of a love life. The former Governor of California tied the knot with Maria Shriver in 1986, even though he had a fling with Brigitte Nielsen.
But the 25-year marriage went up in flames when Maria Shriver discovered that Arnold Schwarzenegger had a teenage son with his housekeeper. She filed for divorce in 2011, and after a decade, it was finally over.
The star is finally ready to spill the beans about his life in the upcoming Netflix series, Arnold. Before that, we should know a little bit about his personal life, especially his rather unorthodox romantic interests.
And yes, this includes the time when Arnold Schwarzenegger had a thing with his hairdresser. While the fling was not a secret, some rules and boundaries were involved. Needless to say, the star was a master of his game.
Two years after he broke up with Barbara Outland, Arnold got into a casual relationship with the 25-year-old Sue Moray.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Moray revealed the rules of their relationship, which required her to live with Schwarzenegger at his place while he was in town. But the two were free to do anything or see anyone else when Schwarzenegger was away.
When he was in town, he would be committed to me and I would live with him and go to work from his house. But when he was out of town, we were free to do whatever we wanted and to date anyone else we wanted.
Apparently, this kind of open relationship was a “turn-on” for them. Moray and Schwarzenegger kept it up for four years, and then he met Maria Shriver.
The two got hitched, had four kids, and after 25 years of a blissful married life, split up after the housekeeper scandal.
In the teaser for his upcoming three-part series, Schwarzenegger confessed how his fling with the housekeeper hurt his family and his marriage.
People will remember my successes and they will also remember those failures. It was very tough on my marriage, on my relationship with the kids. I have caused enough pain for my family that I will have to live with it for the rest of my life. ]
His housekeeper, Mildred Baena, had their child, Joseph Baena, around the same time as Shriver had Christopher Schwarzenegger. The two only had a five-day gap in their birth dates, meaning that Schwarzenegger impregnated his wife and his lover at almost the same time.
Schwarzenegger only figured out that Joseph was his son when he turned six or seven and started to look like him.
Of course, more juicy details are coming out about the situation when the Terminator actor drops his documentary.
