The super-popular Arknights game is now ready to conquer the otaku world with its anime adaptation. The Arknights: Prelude to Dawn anime has been teased for almost a year now, but the release date doesn’t seem to be getting any closer.
With a setting that focuses on a devastating fantasy world, you’ll find the imagery giving a subtle nod to our current conditions.
While there is still no confirmed release date in sight, the franchise did reveal a new trailer that might keep you occupied for a while.
Amiya, the de-facto protagonist of the series, delivers a superb dialogue in the video: “If it is an avoidable battle, keep your silence, but if it is a necessary battle, fight to the end.”
Along with Amiya, some of her comrades from the Rhodes Island Arknights are also shown. You can also get a glimpse of the villains from the Reunion Movement.
Arknights: Prelude to Dawn was tagged as the first season of the franchise by Yostar Pictures when the anime was first announced in October 2021. So, I bet there are more seasons after the first one is finished.
In this upcoming anime, you will encounter a civilization that has made great progress due to harnessing an energy source called the Originium. Yet, at the same time, prolonged exposure to this element infects people.
The anime will follow a clan of doctors who cure this infection while battling against a terrorist organization.

Arknights is a tower defense mobile game developed by Chinese developer Hypergryph. It is available on iOS and Android platforms and features gacha game mechanics. The story is getting an anime adaptation by Yostar Pictures.
The game takes place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic future of the planet Terra, where people exhibit characteristics of animals and mythological creatures. Due to natural disasters, a highly infectious disease, Oripathy spreads around causing havoc on the planet.
The player takes the role of the “Doctor”, who commands a team of “operators.”. As Oripathy spreads, the team must search for a cure while defending themselves against the Reunion Movement, an Infected anarchist military force bent on overthrowing the governments of Terra in revenge for persecuting Oripathy victims.
