They soon face an acidic slimy purple monster. In another chamber inside the labyrinth, Hajime and Kaori try to find the rest of the group. Will they see them in the next chamber?

Kaori feels apologetic constantly as soon as she enters the island chamber with Hajime. Could this be an effect of the labyrinth on her? Does it pick people with insecurities to make them go insane?

Episode 5 Recap
Hajime and the group leave Erisen to explore the sunken ruins of Melusine. They’re at sea for a long time and look everywhere but still can’t find the ruins.
Hajime takes the relic from Gruen out of his pocket and holds it towards the Moon while sitting on the submarine. The grooves in the medallion fill with light, almost like a phone being charged.
He goes to the labyrinth with his submarine, and the light from the medallion guides them. The gate opens, and the ride inside becomes turbulent due to a whirlpool. Some monsters appear behind them but are quickly defeated.
As the water level rises to Hajime’s knees, he carries Yue on his shoulder. Shea and Tio tease her about it, but as soon as Kaori does the same, Yue asks her to die.
They encounter a purple slimy monster at one of the levels, but as soon as they think it’s defeated. The slime goes back to its original shape.
They go to another chamber underground, but it’s filled with water. Yue asks Hajime to save Kaori, and he takes her to the island in another chamber underground.
Kaori keeps apologizing and feeling sorry that she’s not as good as Yue. Hajime tells her that Yue will always be first priority, and if she feels bad about it, she should leave them.
Aiko sensei wants to talk to everyone about Hajime, but a nun stops her. She tries to charm Aiko but fails, so she punches her instead. Liliana witnessed the incident.
