Episode 8 Recap
The captain is stabbed in the back by Daisuke, but he misses Meld’s vital organs. Two more guards come in, and the captain fights them off too.
They fall to the ground but get back up, and Daisuke says not even death can stop his commands because they’ve been made into puppets. More guards come in.
Meld jumps out the window, but no guards come after him. He hears a woman speaking, and we see Noint, telling him this is what Lord Ehit wants before she kills him.
Daisuke is seen speaking to a woman whose face isn’t revealed. Hajime comes upon bandits who’ve cornered the people inside a traveling caravan. They’re trying to break through the caravan guard’s barrier.
The barrier eventually fades, and Hajime saves them by killing the bandits. Kaori quickly heals the guards, and they find Liliana inside.
Hajime does not remember the princess, so he gets scolded by Kaori. Liliana informs them of the situation in the kingdom. She tells him Aiko sensei got kidnapped.
Liliana tells them that the King has been close with the church lately, and they’ve branded Hajime as a heretic. Even the army seems brainwashed. The demons are declaring war against the Heiligh kingdom as well.
Hajime rescues Aiko, and they have a moment. They soon hear the kingdom’s barrier-breaking, meaning the demons have entered the kingdom. We see Noint come onto the scene and challenge Hajime.
