The Arc A380 is part of Intel’s Arc Alchemist series for desktop platforms. It became available exclusively in China just last week. GUNNIR also announced a custom Arc A380 Photon card, and so far, tech enthusiasts are impressed with it.
Twitter user @momomo_us claims reviews for the official Arc A380 will be dropping tomorrow.
Reportedly, Intel has set an official ban as there has been no leaked content regarding the Arc desktop GPU. Intel has only posted the official Quick Start Guide for the Arc series on its website.
The A380 is an entry-level GPU model. The custom GUNNIR card is factory-overclocked with a boost clock of 2450 MHz. However, Intel only lists a base clock of 2000 MHz on the official site.
The custom card also has an increased TDP of 92W from 75W, which explains the external power connector.
Here are the specs for the Arc A380(according to Intel):
GPU | ACM-G11 |
Xe – Cores | 8 |
FP32 Cores | 1024 |
Base Clock | 2000 MHz |
Memory Type | GDDR6 |
Memory Size | 6 GB |
Memory Bus | 96-bit |
Memory Speed | 15.5 Gbps |
TBP | 75 W |
Bandwidth | 186 GB/s |
MSRP | Over $150 |
Performance-wise, the A380 is at par with NVIDIA’s Radeon RX 6400 model with 768 CUDA cores. The RX 6400 is AMD’s slowest RDNA 2 architecture-based desktop GPU.
Intel has not yet revealed when the Arc A380 graphics card will be released in other regions. The rest of the Arc series is expected to launch soon.
