There aren’t many games that take on legal battles and courtroom drama as their subject. ‘Ace Attorney’ game series not only carved a niche out of it but also made it exciting enough to become popular. For quite a long time, the franchise mainly released games on mobile and Nintendo consoles.
In 2019, the first three games from the main series were released in remastered versions for multiple platforms as ‘Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy’. It was followed by ‘The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles’ in 2021, featuring the two games from the spinoff series.
On Sunday, Capcom announced at its Capcom Showcase event that the remaining three games from the main ‘Ace Attorney’ series will also release as a remastered collection. Titled ‘Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy’, the collection is planned for release in early 2024.
The video introduces us to Apollo Justice, the apprentice of Phoenix Wright, and showcases short footage from all three games. Many familiar characters, like Athena Cykes, Miles Edgeworth, Maya Fey, and Trucy Wright are also shown. In the end, the release window of Early 2024 is displayed.
‘Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy’ supports seven languages and will include the following three games:
- Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
As of now, there is no information if the additional content will be included or sold separately. We can expect more information this year from Capcom or the official website.
Overall, that’s great news for all ‘Ace Attorney’ fans, although announcing a seventh main game would have been better. However, this also allows new players to catch up with the series. Now all we need is the ‘Investigations’ spinoff to get remastered and we will have a full collection.
About Ace Attorney
The Ace Attorney franchise is based on the courtroom adventure video games published by Capcom. Two anime seasons were adapted from the video game series.
Ace Attorney follows rookie lawyer Phoenix “Nick” Wright (Naruhodo Ryuuichi) and his assistant Maya (Mayoi) as he defends his clients in a court of law. With limited evidence and logic as his only weapon, can Phoenix turn the case around when all the odds are stacked against him?
