There’s an exciting new update about Ant-Man 3, which is currently in production. Fans already knew that the film, titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, will explore more of the Quantum Realm that the Avengers used in Endgame.
Disney+ series, Loki, also revealed the villain, Kang The Conqueror, in his most powerful form as He Who Remains. Sylvie slew him and unleashed the Multiverse, hence, creating more evil versions, one of whom we’ll meet in Quantumania.
One Take News revealed the new update regarding Kang and Ant-Man 3. According to the site’s sources, sets for Kang’s Time Chair and Janet Van Dyne’s Quantum Realm Fortress are being built.
In the comics, Kang’s Time Chair is a special time-drive chair created by Kang the Conqueror, which allows the user travel through time and space. It has advanced laser defensive weapons and a powerful force shield able to withstand even the most powerful blows.
The Quantum Realm has always been a major element in the Ant-Man films. Janet van Dyne was accidentally trapped in the Quantum Realm when she went subatomic during a mission to disarm a Soviet missile in the 80s. She spent most of her life there until she managed to escape in Ant-Man & The Wasp in 2017.
While in the Quantum Realm, Janet met other civilizations, one of those who welcomed her in.
Janet later became a high-level official in the society and adapted their technology with her suit. If Janet had a Fortress in the Quantum Realm, this could also hint at the introduction of Chronopolis.
In the comics, Chronopolis sits outside of time in a realm called Limbo, a unique dimension that exists outside the timestream and that any time traveler briefly passes through.
Time does not exist at all in Limbo, but rather reality is comprised of a single, ever-changing moment in which everything that ever was, is, and could be coexists.
Chronopolis became the stronghold of Kang the Conqueror, the center of his ever-expanding kingdom that crosses the Multiverse. Some fans even suggested that the TVA could be located in the Quantum Realm. So, What If… Chronopolis is TVA/Citadel at the End of Time.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set for a release date on February 17, 2023.
