On February 9, an official website was created for the television anime adaptation of Rasuko Okuma’s manga Hoshikuzu Telepath. The website revealed the staff, a key visual, and the anime’s 2023 premiere.
Kaori will direct the anime at Studio Gokumi. Kaori and Natsuko Takahashi are handling the series composition. Takahiro Sakai is slated to be the character designer for the series and the chief animation director.
The manga’s plot follows a shy girl named Umika who is afraid of socializing and has trouble making friends. However, this all changes when one day, a transfer student named Yū appears.
The new student is eccentric and peculiar and harbors a secret. It turns out that she is an alien who can read others’ feelings by touching her forehead together with them.
The manga debuted in Manga Time Kiara in May 2019 and began its serialization in July of the same year.
The manga was nominated for Best Printed Manga in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in 2021.

Hoshikuzu Telepath (Stardust Telepath) is a sci-fi and yuri four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Ōkuma. It began serialization in May 2019 and is collected into three volumes as of now.
The story follows a shy girl Umika who has a fear of talking to others. Her life is turned around by a cheerful alien girl Yuu who communicates by touching foreheads. The two form a rocket-making club to send Yuu back to her home planet and get many others to help them.
