The immensely entertaining America’s Got Talent is coming back to television screens once more in 2021. NBC renewed the talent hunt show for its sixteenth season and the auditions will begin soon. Host Terry Crews is expected to return along with judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara for the sixteenth season.
America’s Got Talent is a part of the Simon Cowell-created international Got Talent franchise. Every season, participants from all corners of the United States and abroad take part in the talent hunt to showcase their skills. The contest allows solo acts, as well as group acts. The winner(s) get a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at America’s Got Talent show in Las Vegas.
Surprise in the Waiting Room
On the first day of the auditions, Season 13 winner, magician Shin Lim, is set to appear in the ‘waiting room’ of the Zoom call as a guest to ease the nerves of the entrants. The participants will also be allowed to ask the AGT winner about his own experience on the talent show in a first-ever opportunity in the show’s history.
The COVID-19 pandemic has created quite a few hurdles in the events of the show. To maintain the restrictions, the producers will conduct the auditions online. The hopefuls will be able to present their skills from the comforts of their own homes and will get a chance to say why they would be a valuable entrant in the show.
The virtual auditions start on November 14th.
