Most would expect AMD to be busy with the launch of their next-gen Ryzen 7000 processors and keep other things on hold for a while. AMD, however, is working on other projects as well.
Just yesterday, we saw Ryzen 5000 “Embedded” CPUs spotted, and today we see yet another leak about another 5000-series.
Lenovo has listed the Ryzen 5 Pro 5645, Ryzen 7 Pro 5845, and the Ryzen 9 Pro 5945, all part of the Ryzen 5000 “PRO” desktop lineup. These three processors will be part of the Lenovo ThinkStation P358 Tower system, which is designed around the AM4 platform.
All three processors are based on the older Zen3 architecture and the Vermeer Silicon, which is also present in the Ryzen 5000X and 5000E series.
AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 5945 possesses the best specifications among the three and will quite possibly be the series’s flagship. The CPU features 12 cores and 24 threads with a base frequency of 3.0 GHz.
The Max/Boost frequency reaches 4.7 GHz and features the same L3 cache size of 64MB as of 5950X.
Ryzen 7 PRO 5845 comes with 8 cores/16 threads with 32 MB L3 cache. The frequencies range from 3.4 to 4.6 GHz. Ryzen 5 PRO 5645 is the final entry of the lineup with 6 cores/12 threads and a clock speed of 3.7 – 4.6 GHz.
All the listed frequencies indicate that the CPUs will be a bit slower than their consumer segment counterparts that we have known for two years.
But considering that the gaming/consumer segment will be moving to the upcoming Ryzen 7000 series, these other Zen3 lineups might be able to make their space in other segments of the CPU market.
