It was already known that the next-gen CPUs and motherboards from the red team were going to be released during Fall 2022. During a presentation at an event in China, sneak pics of one particular slide showed that AMD AM5 socketed motherboards and Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs will be available on September 15th. The Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 processors have been predicted to enhance IPC by 8-10%.
The Ryzen 7000 CPUs will use two Zen 4 CCDs (Core Complex Dies) based on TSMC’s 5nm process and a single I/O die (IOD) based on TSMC’s 6nm production node. The maximum number of cores and threads will stay at 16, but clock speeds will be greatly raised, with sources claiming clock speeds of up to 5.85 GHz. You can check out the full specs for the CPUs here. AMD had also unveiled its Ryzen 7000 motherboards at Computex 2022. It revealed its complete series of motherboards codenamed ‘Raphael’. If you want to check out the full series with prices, we’ve got you covered.
The image reveals the launch date for the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs and AM5 Motherboards to be 15th September. The AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs are expected to ship this fall as well. This means you can see them in action as soon as September according to this leak.
