The release of AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D is getting closer, and with that, more information is being leaked online. While this is quite unfortunate for companies, it does give AMD enthusiasts a chance to analyze the benchmarks properly.
Twitter leaker momomo_us has shared SiSoftware benchmark results featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and it is revealed to be up to 37% faster than 5800X3D. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU will be AMD’s third and latest entry in the company’s Zen 4 3D V-Cache lineup.
It’s going to be the true successor to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and the CPU will feature 8 cores, 16 threads, and the same 104 MB of cache (32 MB CCD, 64 MB V-Cache + 8 MB L2), making it the perfect choice for hardcore gamers.
The CPU will feature a base clock of around 4 GHz, which could possibly be at least 500 MHz slower than the Ryzen 7 7700X, and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz which is 400 MHz slower than the Ryzen 7 7700X.
The reason why this AMD CPU is very efficient is because of its design. AMD used one chiplet to place an additional 3D V-Cache layer upon it, unlike the other processors released in the series. The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D cause both processors to be unbalanced due to the fact that they switch between a non-V-Cache and V-Cache CCD depending on the load.
AMD’s algorithm will make it choose between frequency or cache and focus on it so that the management of resources is actually optimized. But the Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU won’t need this management due to its much more straightforward design.
The image above shows that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D scored 395.07 GOPS (Giga Operations Per Second), which means it has a 37% increase over Ryzen 7 5800X3D, its predecessor, giving players a much faster experience while gaming.
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D also seems to be much more affordable than the other processors in the 3D V-Cache Zen 4 series. Even though retailers like Amazon are selling at a much higher price, the anticipated price point for Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be $449.
AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU is set to launch on April 6th and it should be available soon on the company’s website and other retailers like Amazon, Best Buy etc.
