AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is the first AM5 processor without integrated graphics support. Ryzen 7000 CPUs all come with RDNA2 graphics support due to the built in I/O die. Without Compute Dies, the F-series CPUs are expected to cost less than processors with basic graphics capability.
According to recent reports, AMD plans to launch the Ryzen 5 7500F processor exclusively in China by the end of this month. However, the picture below is from South Korea so the exclusivity might not be entirely strict.
The Ryzen 5 7500F features 6 cores and 12 threads with a CPU clock speed measuring up to 3.7 GHz. Its CPU configuration is similar to that of the Ryzen 5 7600. The only difference is that the latter has a GPU and a faster base clock by 100 MHz.
While it is difficult to compare Geekbench scores from version 6.0 to 6.1, we can get a vague idea about how the Ryzen 5 7500F performs compared to the rest of the Ryzen 7000 series using the same A620 motherboard, Geekbench 6.1 and DDR5-6000 memory.
The 7500F performed better in multi-threaded tests but the 2% difference can be considered within the margin of error. However, the 7600X scored 3.7% more in the single-core test.
AMD is currently exploring options to repurpose partially broken Ryzen CPUs for the 7000F series. There are high chances that the company will be launching 8, 12, and 16 core variants in the near future.
