Latest leaks and rumors point to the launch of AMD’s mid-range Radeon RX 7600 XT as soon as next month, with review embargo lifting just a day before it releases. The card is rumored to be based on the 5nm Navi 33 GPU and will be AMD’s answer to NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 series.
According to a new report from Moore’s Law is Dead, AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT is set to launch on May 25th, with review embargos lifting just a day before. Press sampling will begin from May 15th, and it’ll launch alongside the RTX 4060 series which is also launching next month.
What’s interesting is that AMD seems to be handling the launch of RX 7600 XT the same way NVIDIA handled the launch of the RTX 4070, with MSRP model reviews dropping first, and then high-priced variant reviews dropping just a day later.
The rumored specifications include 32 Compute Units, boost clock speeds of around 2.6 GHz, and 8GB of VRAM on a 128-bit bus. After all, this is a mid-range card and is primarily aiming to offer efficient performance.
Price hasn’t been revealed for the card yet but the card’s competitor, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is rumored to launch at a price of $399 MSRP. Radeon RX 7600 XT will most likely launch at the same or at a lower price, since mid-range cards at this price point tend to be more popular and sell more, so it’ll be interesting to see how the card performs if it launches at such a price point.
