AMD has finally announced its upcoming Ryzen 7000 SKUs on its official website. After days of speculation and rumors, we now finally have an official listing of the next-gen CPUs. The news comes as the chips are spotted inside of the public AMD resource library.
AMD’s current and now kind of confirmed Zen 4 processor launch lineup was rumored over a month ago now. And now, four of these have appeared on AMD’s resource website.
The 4 SKUs that appeared in the marketing resource file for Ryzen PRO CPU are:
- Ryzen 9 7950X
- Ryzen 9 7900X
- Ryzen 7 7700X
- Ryzen 5 7600X
These are the only Ryzen 7000 CPUs listed in the library, and there is no sign of the Ryzen 7 7800X or Ryzen 3 7000 series yet. It might be the case that the 7800X was switched out and replaced with the 7700X.
Ryzen 7000 processors are based on the new AM5 platform and are capable of breaking the 5GHz barrier by hitting a maximum speed of over 5.5GHz. AMD has been aiming to make a substantial technical leap forward by utilizing the upcoming Zen 4 chips based on TSMC’s 5nm process.
Unfortunately, AMD has not provided additional information on these desktop CPU models besides the SKU names. AMD Ryzen 7000 processors are rumored to arrive in mid-September, however, AMD is yet to confirm this date.
