The dinosaurs in Isla Nublar are back again- Camp Cretaceous is returning to Netflix with a new season on January 22nd, 2021. The second season of the animated sci-fi adventure series will take place after the island is run over by the dinosaurs. A teaser was released by Dreamworks, which gives a sneak-peek into what the campers will be up to in the second season.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a bunch of teenagers who go on an adventure camp in Isla Nublar and, after an accident, get stranded over there. The group has to depend on each other to survive and find a way to reach the mainland.
While we wait for the new season to drop on Netflix, here’s a list of all that we know about it:
1. No Rescue Yet
The campers, Brooklynn, Kenji, Sammy, Yaz, Ben, and Darius, have yet to be rescued from Isla Nublar in the second season. In the trailer, they are seen trying to hack into the amusement park’s systems so that they can send an S.O.S to the mainland, where they are faced with a familiar but sinister hurdle.
2. T-Rex’s Appearance
It is hardly a Jurassic movie without the T-Rex threatening to turn the characters’ lives upside down. The campers sneak into the T-Rex’s lair when the ferocious beasts make an appearance. From the trailer, it seems like the campers’ primary concern will be to dodge the T-Rex and send a distress call to the others.
3. Benny’s Fate
In the penultimate episode of the series, Ben is attacked by a Pteranodon and falls of the train, and supposedly dies. In the final moments of the first season, it is hinted that he may have survived the fall. Season two will reveal Ben’s fate and what happened to him while the other campers were away.
4. Are There Others?
The new trailer also suggests that there might be other humans on the island apart from the campers and Roxie. The campers will have to find out whether they are friendly or not in the second season.
