Nintendo Switch 2 has got everyone at the edge of their seats. Which games will be available? What will be the prices? When will it launch? When will pre-orders open? While there’s not much word by Nintendo yet, here’s a roundup of everything we know so far.

Nintendo Switch 2 Speculated Features
Let’s take a look at some of the rumored features in Nintendo Switch 2:
- Bigger than the original Nintendo Switch
This one has been confirmed by Nintendo. The Switch 2 is bigger and better than the original Nintendo Switch. You can expect not just a bigger display but also Joy-Cons. Doesn’t this make console game much more accessible?
- Hall Effect Thumbsticks
The new Nintendo Switch 2 will feature thumbsticks with a Hall Effect setup. It eliminates the annoying problem of dread stick drift just after a few uses. The controllers will use magnets to connect to the Switch rather than the rail system.
- Better I/O options
With the new era of gadgets, many have forgotten about the good-old 3.5mm jack. The Nintendo Switch 2 is rumored to bring back the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack and the trusty USB-C port. This way, you can choose to go wired or wireless.
- 4K Output
Graphics have never been the main priority for Nintendo Switch. If the Switch 2 can deliver output at 4K/30 FPS, it will surely be a gamechanger. It will make a mountain of a difference as compared to its predecessor Nintendo Switch.
- Joy-Con Mouse
Apparently, the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con can also double as a mouse. If this is indeed the case, it will be a delight for several keyboard-and-mouse players. It will take some time getting used to since it is obviously not the same as a mouse.
The feature will be specially useful in first-party games. Gaming studios would also develop certain Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games keeping this feature in mind.
Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Date
Popular French video game studio Nacon stated that it is positive that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released in the coming months between April and September.
So far, Nintendo has only revealed that the console will be available sometime this year. We do not have an official release month yet.
Nintendo Switch 2 Pricing
The pricing speculation for the Nintendo Switch 2 ranges from $399 up to $499. According to an unknown source, X user @Shpeshal_Nick revealed that the console could cost somewhere between $449 to $499. The person also added that the Mario Kart bundle could cost an extra $50.

The user also stated that Nintendo is looking at a June release date for the Switch 2.
Compared to the original Nintendo Switch, the price is a little high. The Switch console was launched at $299, with the OLED version costing $349.
However, given that it is an upgraded version with much better features, the high price point does make sense. We will have to wait and see if it is actually worth all the money!
