In Horizon Forbidden West, there are certain Signal Towers sitting all throughout the overworld for Aloy to uncover. These Signal Towers become available for the players to discover after completing the “Signals of the Sun” errand quest, found north of Barren Light.
What makes these towers worth covering, though, is how they have these special lenses that you can turn in to Raynah for various resources – this alone makes these towers super important for you to go through.
I say, let’s cover these towers along with what are the exact routes of getting to them and the precious lenses that they carry, shall say? So, with that said, let me guide you through the six Signal Towers in Horizon Forbidden West.
1 Lens of Dawn Signal Tower – Location Guide
Location – North of The Daunt
Located east of the mine you visit during the Deep Trouble sidequest – this tower is high up in the mountains, similar to all the other Signal Towers.
To get atop this tower, head to the ruined structure right below the place and find the handholds to start climbing. Eventually, you’ll find the ones highlighted in yellow to make climbing easier. If you get stuck, simply R3 to Focus Pulse your way to the top.
2 Lens of Morning Signal Tower – Location Guide
Location – North of Chainscrape
Once you take the elevator down the Point of the Lance, the tower becomes immediately available for you to climb. From the first campfire, take a right, and move up the mountains to the north of Chainscrape – the Signal Tower is about 350 metres away from here.
Here too, you’ll find another ruined structure at the bottom of the tower – use your Pullcaster to start climbing your way to the top. Similar to the Lends of Dawn Signal Tower, you’ll soon find handholds highlighted with yellow – now, make your way to the top to grab the lens.
3 Lens of Midday Signal Tower – Location Guide
Location – Southeast of the bridge that leads into Chainscrape
This tower sits straight in the south of the Lens of Morning Signal Tower, right around the bridge that leads into Chainscrape. There’s a ladder that leads into another landing – once you’re there, take a left towards the northeast side of the cliff – here, you’ll find some grapple points that you can use to climb atop the tower.
The usual advice for this one, too – if you feel as though you’re stuck, use Focus Pulse to find the right pieces to climb through.
4 Lens of the Afternoon Signal Tower – Location Guide
Location – Part of a sidequest
Located in the southwest of Chainscrape, you can actually find this tower through “The Twilight Path” side quest – you can pick this one up from Petra in Chainscrape.
There’s really not much to say here since you’ll grab the lens from this tower as part of the side quest. Not to mention, it’s similar to climbing the Lens of Midday Signal Tower, so you won’t have any difficulty getting to the top.
5 Lens of Twilight Signal Tower – Location Guide
Location – Southeastern portion of The Daunt
Starting from the campfire near east of Barren Light in the mountains on the edge of the map, head north towards the towering mountains – from here on, climb up the rock landings and use your Pullcaster on the two grapple points to go up.
Now, you need to cross the Abandoned Camp and take a left to find the tower. Finally, use your Pullcaster on the southwest side of the tower to climb it and obtain the lens on top.
6 Lens of Evening Signal Tower – Location Guide
Location – Part of a sidequest
You’ll find this lens through a sidequest called “Signals of the Sun” that you can pick up northwest of Barren Light.
After following the quest markers and climbing the mountains, you’ll come across some machines – fight them and then speak to Raynah. If you’ve given her the other lenses already, she would talk about wanting one last one (Lens of Evening) that’s there in a tower nearby.
Once you reach the tower, use your Pullcaster to get into the base of the tower – you’ll have to use it again to make it to the first stairwell. Once you are done climbing up to this point, you’ll be able to make your way to the top and grab the lens.
Finally, once you return to Raynah, she’ll thank you and reward you with 1 Greenshine sliver along with 1 bronze ingot too.
