Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 1 features a giant majestic turtle found in the wilderness of the map. Interestingly, this creature is not only there to adorn the scenery but also has a special secret quest related to it, which can grant you tons of XP for the battle pass and rare loot!
However, finding this turtle in the vast map of Fortnite is a task of its own. Moreover, it spawns at a different location in every match, making it harder to find and get the loot in time.
1. Where to find the Giant Turtle in Fortnite?
The Giant Turtle has seven potential spawn locations in Fortnite:
- The southern part of the large lake near Whiffy Wharf;
- At the midpoint of Whiffy Wharf and Lost Lake;
- East of Brutal Boxcars;
- East of Seaport City;
- South of the Nightshift Forest;
- Southeast of Warrior’s Watch; and
- Northeast of Masked Meadow.
Once you find the turtle, climb up on his shell and immediately get a reward of 80,000 XP for your battle pass. After this, you can initiate and complete the secret quest.
2. How to complete the Giant Turtle quest in Fortnite?
Players must destroy five Red and Dark Magic Thorns from the Great Turtle’s back using their pickaxe to complete the Giant Turtle quest in Fortnite.
These thorns appear randomly on the turtle’s shell, but they are not difficult to find as the shell area is comparatively extremely small.
To initiate the quest, you must interact with the NPC, Ryuji, on top of the turtle’s shell. After the dialogues end, destroy the dark thorns to complete the quest, and return to Ryuji to collect loot from the rare chest.
Once you get the required loot, you are now all set to destroy your enemies and get that Victory Royale!
